Friday Sketchers/ Color throwdown

Good Evening! I had a chance sit and stamp today since my Husband and the kids went fishing. I decided to stay home and have a day off. I did this card for the Friday Sketch Challenge. http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com. This also works for the Color Throwdown challenge. http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com. I LOVE this sketch. I made this for my cousin, for her anniversary. I used the Bella birds DS paper from SU (retired), some pink pirouette CS (also retired), Chocolate Chip CS, and very vanilla CS. The flower stamp is from the Ever After stamp set and the sentiment is from the Sweet little sentiments Stamp set. i added 3 pink brads and a crocheted flower which is also retired in the pink. Wow talk about a retired card. I colored the image with my water color pencils. Well I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July. Thanks for stoppin by:)

Hi Steph, This is a beautiful card. I love the layout and the sentiment. SU sure has some nice paper. Do you do a lot of demonstrations? I have been going to one at an independent demonstrator home about once a month for the past 5 or 6 months. I always make an order like I am a hostess to get the deals. I am really hooked and it didn't take long. Thanks for following my blog.

Beautiful job Steph! I just love that DP, have it myself! Did you crochet your own flower?

Yes, it is nice sometime to just slip off and have a day totally to yourself to create something beautiful!

Easter

This is the Easter card I made for my kids this year.  This is so fun.  The chicks are made from the Circle punch, itty bitty flower punch, the scallop circle punch, and the owl punch.  I made the grass using the new fringe scissors.  The clouds are done using a template and sponging soft sky ink.

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Flowering Fields

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!
Today's card uses another stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog.  It's called flowering fields on page 12.  You can have this beautiful stamp set for free with a qualifying order.  I stamped some of the flowers with versa mark and embossed with white embossing powder.  The other ones were stamped in blackberry bliss.  What do you think of that ribbon?  The pool party glitter ribbon is in the Occasions catalog and it is AMAZING.  Most glitter ribbons can be difficult to work with but not this one.  It is so easy to work with and ties beautifully.  The sentiment is from the "First Sight" stamp set in the Occasions catalog.
Well that's about it for today.  I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend and enjoying the Super Bowl today.
Happy Stamping!

Pleasant Poppies

These are a couple of Sympathy cards I made this week for 2 different friends.  I used the same set Pleasant Poppies and water colored one with Primrose Petals and the other with Raspberry ripple.  Love the new In-colors from Stampin Up!  I used 2 different framelits from the Apothecary Accents set.  On the bottom of the top card I used one of the Finishing Touches Edgelits (love them) and the other one I used one of the Adorning Accents Edgelits.  The ribbon is just some of the Taffeta Ribbon in very vanilla which I sponged with the matching in-colors to get the color I wanted.  The sentiment is done using a stamp from the Petite Pairs Stamp set and punched out with the new Ticket Duo Punch. The very vanilla layer is embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Folder.  Well thats it for me tonight.  Thanks for stopping by.   Feel free to leave a comment, I would love to hear what you think.
