Stamping 411 with Elements of Style

First off I would like to wish everyone a very happy 2011!! I'm back with my card for this weeks Stamping 411 sketch . I love this sketch. I used Elements of Style on this one. I stamped the bird in Brocade Blue craft ink (retired color) and embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder. I stamped the swirly image in crumb cake ink. The DSP is from another new set coming out in the mini on Jan. 4., it's called Botanical Gazette. I embossed the strip of very vanilla CS with my perfect polka dots embossing folder. I added an antique brad to finish it off.

The sentiment on the inside is from a stamp set called "simply said". I hope you like it and take some time this week to give the sketch a try. Thanks for stopping by. I wish everyone a very happy start to the new year!!

In Memory Of....

Good Evening!! Well I have been working on these pages of my Mom and Dad for a while now. I showed you the one of my Dad a long time ago but I changed it a bit and I finished the one of my Mom. All I need to do now is get another Frame and these are going up on my wall.

I used my Stampin' write markers and a water brush on the motorcycle. I used the perfect polka dots embossing folder on night of navy CS and sprayed with smooch spritz. I love this photo of my Dad, it just makes me smile everytime I look at it. This cute little Tilda stamp is called Starlight Tilda. I colored her with my prisma colored pencils, and added some dazzling diamonds to her wings and the star on her wand. I gave her blonde hair to match my moms blonde hair. I think it turned out pretty good. I layered her on a piece of elegant eggplant CS which I embossed with the square lattice embossing folder. The letters on both are cut out using Timeless type alphabet dies on early espresso CS.

Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge 96

Morning everyone, this is a card I finished up last night. I made the for the sweet sunday sketch challenge. You can check out there sketch here . I used the forest friends stamp set. I have seen a few christmas cards with this cute little bambi and thought I would give it a try. This was a nice simple layout. I figured since Bambi was on the front of the card I should put Thumper on the inside. lol. Well I'd better get going to work. Thanks for stopping by:)

stamping 411

Wow, it's been a while since I have had time to participate in the stamping 411 challenge. You can check out the sketch here . I still need to make lots of xmas cards but I wanted to use this adorable stamp from SU's punch potpourri set. I stamped it in black ink on very vinilla CS and colored the flowers with my stampin' write markers. I'm not sure if you can see it but I rubbed some of my stampin pastels around the outside of the heart. I looks cool IRL. I also added some dazzling diamonds to the flowers. I used my texture plate on the marina mist CS. I haven't used my texture plates in forever, I am so addicted to the folders that I forget about the texture plates. I sponged with marina mist ink over the embossed portion to make it stand out a bit. I have enjoyed taking a day just to play with my stamps (I have been doing laundry in between, though). Just one more week and then we are off for christmas break, YEA!!!! On the inside I layered a piece of very vini…
