Well as promised I tried redoing my candle plate on glass instead of a mirror and I am much happier with it. I used For all you do and Flight of the butterfly SS. Here is a picture of it.
My husband happened to have some roof flashing in the garage so I tried a quick candle holder using the big shot and the SU flower folds die. I got the idea for this from my friend France. I wanted to try embossing on it so I stamped some images with craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I will play more with this when I have more time. Here is what it looks like. Thanks for stoppin by:)

Today I wanted to make a candle set with an etched mirror to set them on. I really like the idea but I think it would look better on a glass plates instead of a mirror, all of the reflections make it hard to see. Anyways I started with a round mirror and cut out some circles with my circle scissors plus as seen here. I then stamped my images with versa mark on the candle and embossed them with my heat gun. I then used my armour etch cream and put that all over the mirror and let it set for about 10-15 minutes. When that was done I washed everything off and took of the circles and this is what it looked like.
I love the idea but I think it will look much better on a glass plate instead of a mirror. I will try a glass plate tomorow.
For the candles I decided drill a hole down the middle of the candle to hold a battery operated tea light. (After to talking to some friends we decided it's probably not a good idea to light candles to you have stamped on because the tissue paper could catch on fire.) To drill a hole big enough for the tea light you probably need a 11/2 inch drill bit or bigger. The one I was using wasn't big enough so I had to hand carve it the rest of the way. I stamped my images on tissue paper and cut it out close to the image and placed it on the candle. I then wrapped wax paper around it and heated it up with my heat gun just until the image melts into the candle. I then tied a ribbon around it to finish it off.

It's day 2 of our mini blog hop tour. I
hope everyone had fun hopping around yesterday and are ready for some more hopping. I know I'm ready!! Here is the sketch for todays card.
THE LINK TO THE NEXT STOP ON THIS BLOG HOP WILL BE AT THE END OF THIS POST.
Here is my take on this sketch
On this card I stamped my image with black stazon ink and colored it with a blender pen and my stampin pastels. (I am so loving my pastels). I then rubbed some Not Quite Navy chalk around the edge of the paper to give it kindof a sky feel to it. The flowers are from the pretties kit and I dyed the big one in Bermuda bay reinker and the little on was dyed in the same re-inker and water mixture ( this gave it just a touch a light blue coloring). When they were dry I used my 2 way glue pen and cover the entire flower with glue and sprinkled dazzling diamonds glitter over them. Love the sparkle.

Today is the first day of the mini blog hop tour with The "Red Hot Stampers" girls and the "Inking with Frenchie"girls. We will have a card or scrapbook page today and tomorow using a layout. Today's card uses the layout here. Here is my take on this layout. I made a square card and I love the background I was able to achieve using versa mark ink and close to cocoa stampin pastels. I stamp the swirly image from the "vintage vogue" set on shara sand paper and the rubbed close to cocoa stampin pastels over the entire paper. This gave the paper an antique look and really made the background stand out. I even hand sewed with some SU linen thread across the top of the middle layer.
Don't forget to join us tomorow for another mini blog hop tour. Just click on the link below to go to the next blog. Thanks for stoppin by.

Here is what I made for my friend Holly for her birthday. It is a matching card and card purse. I used alot of stuff on this. I dry embossed the front and back panels on the purse with the petals a plenty embossing folder as well as on the sahra sand strip on the card. I sponged it with perfect plum ink. I mixed some crystal effects with 1 drop of rich razzleberry reinker and a little bit of frost shimmer paint and dabbed it on the center of all the flowers. Love this technique. I used Message for mom, for all you do, and whimsical words stamp sets. Oh and a stamp from the holiday blitz stamp set. This was very fun to make. Well I hope you have a wonderful birthday Holly. Thanks for stoppin by, I hope you like it.

This is the card I made for my husband for valentines day. I used Sahra sand cs and embossed it with one of my texture plates. The dsp is from the sweet pea paper pack. I used the new heart embosslit for the black hearts and layered white hearts that I punched out using the full heart punch. The ribbon is the new satin ribbon in the occasions mini. I sprayed the card with my mixture of rubbing alcohol and shimmery paint. (maybe a little to much) I'm not sure about this card. I feel like something is missing. What do you think? Thanks for stoppin by.
Oh yeah, I used 2 different stamps for the sentiment, and I colored one of my kraft corduroy buttons with ruby red ink.

These are some valentine's cards I made for my kids. I CASE the idea from another ladies blog(I think her name is Jenni), but I changed it up a little bit. I used the sweetheart treat cups with a trap door to get the candy out. I also used the chalkboard technique to color the hearts. This was so much fun to make and I think my kids are gonna just love it. Well I think it's about bed time. I will try and share another card tomorow. I still need to make my husband a card for valentine's. Thanks for stoppin by.

I couldn't resist showing this card. This was so much fun to make. Thanks France, for sharing the templete for this. I used the Brides paper and colored it ruby red using my brayer. I used the new satin ribbon for the bra straps and I very carefully burnt the edges so it wont fray. (be careful not to burn your whole bra, that's for another day) ha!! What do you think of my lace I added using the new scallop border punch? On the back I printed the sentiment on vellum CS and punched it out using the word window. This had to make me laugh cause it look like she has a band-aid on her tush. lol. Well I hope I haven't offended anyone, just a fun card. I can think of several people that would get a kick out of this.
