Simple Christmas Card

Good morning,  It's the first day of Christams vacation and I am soooooooooooo glad to be off work for a while.  This is a quick card I made last night.  I was going to use an image on the front but things just weren't working out so I decided to make a simple card.  I used some Frostwood lodge DSP, Garden green and Whisper white CS.  The ribbon is the satin ribbon in Real red, I added some twine with the jingle bells and a glitter brad.  GUESS WHAT, I found my embossing folders and all my missing DSP.  On the inside of the card I used a stamp from the Christams Lodge set and the sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.
Well I hope you like my simple christmas card.  Now Im off to get my car worked on.  I hope to be getting a lot of christmas cards done in a short time, so check back soon.  Thanks for stopping by:)

new stamping area

Well I couldn't take it anymore, I had to unpack all my stuff and set it up even though the floors are not done yet.  I figured I could move it when its time to do the carpet.  At least now I can make a card and find my stuff when I need it.  However I am still missing all of my embossing folders some scissor and all my DSP.  It's gotta be around here somewhere.  Well I just thought I would share some photos of my room with you even though this set up is just temporary.  I will show more when we are done.  Thanks for stoppin by, hopefully I will have a card to show you soon.
Happy Sunday!!!  I managed to get a card done today but it was not easy.  We are still working on our floors and I have no where to set up my stampin stuff so I have to dig through boxes every time I need something.  I'm not sure of the names of the stuff I used as I have already put them away and i can't find my catalog to look them up.  The tree stamp I think is called Christmas lodge.  I stamped it in Always Artichoke on watercolor paper.  I distressed all the edges on all the layers.  I inked up the edges of the main image with crumb cake ink and added shimmer paint in champagne mist to all the edges and to the tree, it has lots of sparkle.  On the crumb cake layer I used the snowflake embossing folder from SU.  I added some silver brads and some early espresso quilted ribbon.
On the inside I layered a piece of always artichoke and whisper white paper.  The sentiment is from the Beautiful Season set in the big catalog.  Well I think this turned out very nice considering…

Still here

Wow I have been MIA for a long time.  We have moved in to our new house but I don't have things unpacked or a place to stamp yet.  We are redoing all the floors so it will be a while before things are back to normal.  I did however find a few of my stamping thinks and couldn't resist.  This is a card from France's Christmas workshop.  I didn't get to go to her workshop this year but I did purchase the kit, which I never got around to putting together.  I love this cute skinny snowman.  I colored him with my colored pencils and I also added a couple of the new jingle bells to the brad, love them.  Well I hope you guys wont give up on me, I will be back from time to time until I get things set up again.  I still check everyones blogs and I can't wait to get back to normal.  Have a great week and feel free to leave me a message, I would love to hear from you.

Field Flowers part 2

Well after posting my last card I realized there was a stem with no flower, lol.  So I just had to fix it.  This time I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the 2nd layer.  I also used my markers to color the stamp on the second layer so that I could put the brown in the middle.  I cut flower out of popped it up with some dimensionals.  Now I believe the card is done.  lol.  You can really tell what a difference the stamp-a-ma-jig made, I should have done that the first time.  Oh well it's homemade right.  Well thanks for stoppin by, see ya next time:))

Field flowers

Good morning everyone,

I have been wanting to play with my new stamps and I finally had some time to sit down and make a card.  This card was pretty easy to make since I had already had it all figured out in my head before I even started.  I love this new stamp set called "Field Flowers".  I used some of the new in-colors.  The CS used was Basic Black, crumb cake, Island Indigo, whisper white.  Inks used are Island Indigo, pool party, lucky limeade, basic black, and versa mark.  I stamped one of the flower stamps in versa mark on the crumb cake piece.  The ribbon is the new 1/2 scallop dots ribbon in basic black and the brads are the new designer printed brads in island indigo.  This was a simple card but I love how it turned out.
Here is a photo of the inside of the card.  I layered a piece of island indigo and whisper white CS.  I stamped the sentiment in Basic black and the flower I stamped once in island indigo and stamped it again without re-inking the stamp.  Well that…

Stamping 411

Well, this is my first christmas card this year, July sounds like a good time to start on christmas cards. lol.  I used the sketch over at Stamping 411 to make this card.  I used the sweet little girl from the greeting card kids.  I used my new twinkling H20's to water color her.  The DSP is called letters to Santa (beautiful paper).  I love all the new stuff from SU.  I used the stripes embossing folder on the cherry cobbler piece.  For the sentiment I used a stamp from the "Four Frames" stamp set and a merry christmas stamp from a retired stamp set (Merry Crittermas), and punched it out using the decorative label punch.  The ribbon is also new, it's 1/2" scallop dots ribbon in Chocolate chip. I added a glimmer brad in real red to the bow.  Love how this card turned out.  Hope you like it.  Thanks for stoppin by:)
Here is a close-up of the image.  I watercolored some blue in the background behind her.  I LOVE to watercolor, it is so relaxing and fun.

My Friend

Hello,  This is a card that was a make-n-take at France's house about a week ago.  I added a glimmer brad and some glitter to it and wanted share it.  Love this card, I'm glad she used this stamp set cause I'm not sure if I would have ordered it if I hadn't had the chance to play with it. lol.  Anyways I used Dazzling Diamonds on the main image and I used the Fine galaxy glitter in champagne on the background.  Well I've got to run, today is the state shoot for 4-H.  Thanks for stopping by:))

chocolate dipped strawberries

Good Morning!   I added some chocolate to my strawberry card.  Scroll down to see the original card.  I did one with milk chocolate on both strawberries and one with 1 milk chocolate and 1 white chocolate.  I did this using the full heart punch and then cut it in half with a wavy line.  (hope that makes sense).  I've been having lots of fun with these strawberries.  Well that's it for now, Thanks for stopping by:)

Sweet Strawberries

Good Evening!  I've been thinking about this card all day and couldn't wait to sit down and make it.  I saw someone had made a strawberry with the Scalloped Heart embosslit die and I just had to try it.  I also used the 5 petal flower punch and the Sweetest stem embosslit for the leaves and stem.  The CS used is real red, crumb cake, very vanilla, and Garden green.  I added a Glimmer brad in Real red to the bow.  The sentiment is from teeny tiny wishes.  Now I wish I had the new Fruits & Flowers stamp set so I could stamp the strawberry on the inside of the card.  Well I hope everyone is having a sweet summer.  Thanks for stopping by:)

I've got my eyes on you!

OMG, was this card ever fun to make.  I've had the "make a monster" stamp set for  a while but this is the first time I've used it.  I used the Stamping 411 sketch to make this card.  I stamped the monster with black staz-on on water color paper and added some eyes, mouth, and antenna's.  I colored it with my SU watercolor pencils.  I didn't have any cool monster paper so I stamped some of the eyes on a piece of elegant eggplant paper with my elegant eggplant ink.  I used my build-a-brads with the eyeball stamps, I know the build-a-brads are no longer available but I thought the eyeballs would be cute.  If I had the new polka dot brads I would have used them and the glitter brads would also look great.  Oh yeah I also added crystal effects to the eyes on the monster.  I printed the sentiment from my computer.  The colors used on this card are:  Basic black, elegant eggplant, old olive, and whisper white.  On the inside of the card I layered a piece of whisper…

Mojo Monday

I made this card using the mojo monday sketch.  I used the new "On the grow" stamp set from SU.  The paper I used is from a set that was on promotion a month or so ago but wont be available until the new catalog comes out this summer.  I wasn't sure about this when I started it the paper seemed a bit to loud for me but now that it's done I love it.  Well back to work for 1 more week and then I'm off for the summer, YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am bit excited.  Well I hope you had a great weekend and found some time to stamp.  Thanks for stoppin by:))

Stamping 411

Good Evening! I finally got some time to stamp. I used the sketch at stamping 411 and it is a fun one. I made 2 cards using this sketch tonight. The first one I used the Easter Blossoms stamp set and on the seconds one I used the Happy St. Patrick's day stamp.
One this one I stamped the egg in marina mist, blushing bride, and daffodil delight. I like how the off set square looks with the sentiment in it. I finished it off by adding some two way glue and dazzling diamonds to the eggs.

I'm not sure I like how this one turned out. I stamped just the clover with wild wasabi and the stamped the whole thing with wild wasabi and early espresso. I add a strip of pearls colored with a sharpie marker.

I thought I would show you the inside of this one because I thought the stamp from "After Thoughts" works perfect for St. Patty's Day. Well that's it for tonight. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

snowman scrapbook page

Hello, it has been a while since my last post. I had the day off today and was hoping to have lots of stamping time but my house desperately needed some attention. We have been so busy lately with work and kids activities and sick kids that I have neglected my house, so today I spent the day cleaning up:( I did however find some time to put these pages together. I missed the last scrapbook class so I had the kit sitting on my desk, (I found it while cleaning) and decided to put it together.

Now that I have my desk cleaned off maybe I'll be able to get a card done soon. lol. Thanks for stopping by:)

stamping 411

I finally got a chance to do a card for the stamping 411 challenge. I got many new toys to play with yesterday. I used the flower stamp from the Easter blossoms stamp set. I used my stampin' write markers to color this. The flower is from the new build a blossom stamp set and punch. I used the stamping 411 sketch for this card, I added a few little extra things to it. The sentiment and the little flowers stamped on the top are from a sale-A-bration stamp set called So Happy for You. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and maybe some nice weather. We had beautiful weather here today, it was in the 50's but I hear that is going to change tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by, if you get a chance hop on over and give the stamping 411 sketch a try.

Valentine 4 drawer box

Happy Wednesday!! I can't wait for this weekend, I need some stamping time and work is really getting in the way. lol. I made 10 of these boxes last weekend for a swap. I love how they turned out. I used the new valentine defined stamp set from SU. The hearts are punched out of some glitter paper, love it. My kids were going crazy over these, I think I will have to make some for them for valentines day. Well I hope everyone is having a good week. Thanks for stopping by:)

Look what the UPS man brought me today, lol. I love how this card turned out, it's kinda clean and simple. I used the Valentine Defined Stamp set from SU. I colored the stamp with my stampin' write markers and added some dazzling diamonds to the little hearts. I couldn't wait to get this roses that are in the new mini. I have to say I am very impressed with them, they are even better than I excpected and crystal effects works perfect to glue them on your project. The ribbon treatment I used is something I learned from my friend France. The little key charm is also in the new mini, very cute.

I am entering this in 2 challenges

papertake weekly challenge - anything goes

crazy 4 challenges - celebrate something Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend:)
