Candle Art

Happy Friday!!!!  I'm so excited to show you this candle.  I have done these before but this time I used embossing powder.  I wasn't sure if it would work but it worked beautifully, it looks like someone painted it on.  I started by stamping the big snowflake in versa mark ink on tissue paper and embossing it with Gold embossing powder.  Don't emboss it to long since the tissue paper is very thin, it will catch on fire fast.  Then I cut it out very close the edge of the stamped image and placed it on the candle embossed side up, covered it with waxed paper and heated just until the tissue paper melt into the candle.  The center of the snowflake is a glimmer brad.  I heated up the center of the candle and pushed the brad through.  The snowflakes around the bottom are done using the same method except they are stamped in cherry cobbler ink with no embossing.  I added some cherry cobbler dazzling details in the center of the small snowflakes.  It takes a while for the glitter to dry but it will dry.

I'm so happy with how this turned out.  This would make beautiful decoration with a few candles together.  This was again the Snowflake Soiree Stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. On the other side of the candle I stamped the word Believe from that same set.  Well thats it for now, come back tomorrow for more stamping fun.

So pretty! I tried a couple of these candles for Christmas and none of mine turned out so beautifully.
