Evergreen

To early for Christmas cards?  Nooooo!  I made this one with some stuff from the new holiday mini from SU available starting August 1!  I have to say the new mini has soooooo many awesome things in it.  I think I want it all, lol.  This card was made using the Evergreen Stamp set.  I stamped the solid image on glossy paper with Gumball green ink and the stamped the detail stamp on top of that using versamark and embossed it with the new early espresso embossing powder.  That lovely paper in the background is the new Core'dinations CS in Early Espresso, it has a lighter color core.  I embossed it with the Woodgrain EF and then lightly sanded the raised edges to show the lighter color.  Love the way this looks.  The ribbon is in Gumball green and I added a Brushed Bronze designer button, love this button it is big enough to tie regular sized ribbon through it.  The image is die cut using a framelit from the window frame collection and sponged to look like the sun was setting.

Here is a picture of the sunset tonight from by back door.  Thanks for stopping by.

stamping 411/ countryside birthday

Well today is my sons 11th birthday.  I made him this card last night using the stamping 411 sketch.  He just love chickens so I thought this rooster from the countryside set was perfect.  I stamped it on watercolor paper and used my ink pads and a water tank brush to water color it.  The DSP is from the  International Bazaar.  I thought the DSP kinda looked like chicken wire.  CS used was Lucky limeade, early espresso, and very vanilla.  The sentiment is from Curly Cute, and the leafs are from the confetti stamp set. Well thats it for me tonight, I hope you like it.

Pleasant Poppies

These are a couple of Sympathy cards I made this week for 2 different friends.  I used the same set Pleasant Poppies and water colored one with Primrose Petals and the other with Raspberry ripple.  Love the new In-colors from Stampin Up!  I used 2 different framelits from the Apothecary Accents set.  On the bottom of the top card I used one of the Finishing Touches Edgelits (love them) and the other one I used one of the Adorning Accents Edgelits.  The ribbon is just some of the Taffeta Ribbon in very vanilla which I sponged with the matching in-colors to get the color I wanted.  The sentiment is done using a stamp from the Petite Pairs Stamp set and punched out with the new Ticket Duo Punch. The very vanilla layer is embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Folder.  Well thats it for me tonight.  Thanks for stopping by.   Feel free to leave a comment, I would love to hear what you think.

Morning Cup

Well its offical I am now a Stampin Up Demonstrator!  Yea:) I am so excited.

This is the card I made for the shoebox swap I went to on Saturday at FRANCE'S house.  It was a blast.  I used the morning cup stamp set for this one.  The quilt pattern in the background is done using paper from the comfort cafe' DSP and the 1 1/4" square punch.  I didn't have enough paper for everyone to make it in the same color so everyone had a different color from the same DSP pack.  That lovely Doilie was made using soft suede CS and the new Delicate Doilies Sizzilits die.  I really love this die.  A Doilie is perfect to go behind a teacup.  Colors used on this card are Soft Suede, Real red, very vanilla and comfort cafe' DSP.  I hope you like, I know I had so much fun making this one.

On another note:  We bought a new house this past October and have been fixing it up.  The upstairs is pretty much done now.  We finally got the master bedroom painted and carpeted. and the master bath is totally redone.  I got to move back into my bedroom last night, it was so exciting.  Now we can start working on the basement.  We have a family room(a.k.a. stamp and art room) and 2 bedrooms to paint and carpet. Oh and the stairs.

Thanks for stopping by, Would love to hear what you think!
