Hexagon Star

Happy New Years Eve!!!

I finished moving all my stuff to the upstairs spare bedroom which is now my stamping room, and I love it.  I love being able to come in here and work and still be upstairs.  Now all I need to do is get some curtains for the window and some shelf's to decorate.

The technique on this card is one I got from my good friend France, thanks for sharing the video on this France. This is done using the hexagon punch. The DSP I used is from the Holiday Mini called Sweater Weather.  There's only a couple more days to order from that catalog.  CS used is Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip, and whisper white.  The my Friend stamp is from the My Friend stamp set.  I also add some candy dots in Daffodil Delight and a glimmer brad in champagne.

That's it for today.  I will be back tomorrow with more.

Winter Friends

Well I finally found some time to post on my blog.  I have been so busy lately trying to get Christmas gifts made and as always running my kids to all their activities.  This card is one I made a week or two ago.  The image is from Whimsy Stamps and I have water colored her with my distress inks.  The papers used are some from my stash and I also added some dew drops.
Here is a close up.  of Corse I added some glitter. I didn't add a sentiment because I wasn't sure I wanted this to be a Christmas card.  I think it would make a good friend or Thinking of you card.

I spent many hours last night moving my stamping area from a corner downstairs to the spare bedroom upstairs.  I think I will use it more being upstairs where I can cook and watch the kids and the dogs and see outside.  On the downside my hubby does his painting downstairs so we wont be working together in the same room anymore and the fireplace is downstairs so I will miss that too.  But I can still go hangout down…

Sunset Rose

It is freezing here in Wyoming the wind chill has been -20 below zero all day, so I thought I would share this card of a girl enjoying a nice warm sunset.  Doesn't she look so nice and warm and relaxed.  I water colored her with my distress inks.  I'm not sure what the paper is called, its some I have had for a long time.  The image is called Sunset Rose from Whimsy Stamps.
I hope everyone is staying warm, thanks for stopping by!

HSS Artist Pick

Woo Hoo I won this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Artist Pick.  Below is the card I submitted for the challenge.  It's always exciting to be pick for one of the winners.

Team Challenge

Todays card is one I made for a team challenge with my upline.  Unfortunately I don't think I am going to be able to make it to the meeting to enter this in the challenge.  boo hoo.  The challenge was to make a card using the new foil paper in the holiday catalog.  This was a pretty simple card but I think it turned out nice.  I ran the foil paper through the big shot with the snowflake embossing folder.  I stamped the Holly Jolly in cherry cobbler ink and since I don't have the matching punch yet I cut it out by hand, and hung it from the cherry cobbler seam binding and added a snowflake.

Hope you like it.

Thank You

T.G.I.F. for sure!!!!!   It has been a long week and I am so glad its the weekend.

This card is from a kit I bought at heathers hobbie haven.  I water colored this with distress inks, and used antique linen to antique the edges.  Of coarse I added some diamond stickles to her bow and some on her dress.

I love the paper that came with this kit it is called Vintage Bliss by Simple Stories.  That awesome butterfly is from Petaloo, love them.  Well that's it for tonight Thanks for stopping by:)

Pleasant Poppies

I'm back with another card.  Wow I think that's 3 days in a row, it must be some kinda record for me.  On this card I used a lot of stuff I haven't used in a long time.  Colors used are crisp cantaloupe, early espresso, and Gold Foil paper.  I embossed the early espresso core'dinations paper with pretty print embossing folder and then sanded the top of it.  Love the sanded look.  On the Gold Foil paper I stamped the pleasant poppies stamp in versa mark and embossed with Gold embossing powder.
The ribbon used is the 3/8 ruffle stretch trim in crisp cantaloupe and the 5/8 crochet trim.
Well that's it for today.  I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by:-)

Best of Halloween

Happy Monday!

Todays card was made using the sketch challenge over atHand Stamped Sentiments.  I used a stamp from the best of Halloween stamp set from Stampin Up.  I stamped it with versa mark on whisper white CS and embossed it with black embossing powder.    I added some color to the windows and moon using my stampin write markers and a blending pen.  The orange rhinestones are just the basic rhinestone jewels colored with an orange sharpie marker.  The ribbon is the 1/8 taffeta ribbon in pumpkin pie and basic black.  That cute bat DSP is from the Holiday Catalog and it is called Witches Brew.

Thanks for stopping by.  Make sure to stop by and check out all the other great cards on Hand Stamped Sentiments.

Christmas Cheer

Hello stampers,

On this card I used the stamp set Wishing You from the holiday catalog and the sentiment is from the sweet Essentials set.  This card was originally going to be a snowman card but I changed my mind when my snowman didn't turn out like I wanted.  Colors used are Island Indigo, Pool Party and calypso coral.  The burlap can be found in the Holiday Catalog.  The Island Indigo CS is the textured CS which I embossed with the stylish stripes folder and the pool party piece was embossed with the polka dots folder.  For the snow I just ripped a couple of pieces of pool party and added some dazzling diamonds glitter.  The image was colored with my markers directly on the stamp.  I think I need to add some sparkle to the presents.  Well I hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by:-)

Team sketch #4

Here is the card I made for the team sketch #4.  Thank you Sara for creating these sketches for us.  I need a lot of thank you cards right now so this is what I used the sketch for.  I used the six sided sampler stamp set.  Colors used are wisteria wonder, soft sky, very vanilla and afternoon picnic DSP and some wisteria wonder chevron ribbon.  Oh and half of a paper doily, some basic pearls, and the pretty print embossing folder which I sponged with wisteria wonder ink after I embossed it.

That's it for today.  I hope you like it.

Todays card is one I made for a challenge from my Upline.  She gave us a piece of coaster board and left it up to us to figure out a way to use it.  I used mine to cut out letters with my big shot.  I stamped with the gorgeous grunge stamp set on the letters in smoky slate and sponged the edges with pumpkin pie ink.  The layout of the card is from another challenge from my uplines team which is a sketch challenge.  I used 3 different papers from the Halloween DSP.
Imagine this picture flipped the right way.  this is the inside of the card.

This is what has been keeping me busy lately.  Meet Hazel our new puppy.  She is a 8 week old chocolate lab/ weimaraner mix.  We just love her to pieces, she is so much fun.

Broom Ride

Hello Stampers,

I'm back with another Halloween card.  This little cutie is by C.C. Design and she is called Broom Ride.  This is water colored with distress inks and a water tank brush.  The sentiment is also from C.C. Designs called Witch-ful Thinking.  The paper is from Stampin Ups Halloween paper, I can't remember what it was called.
Here is a close up of the image.  I added some stickles to the band on her hat and to the wings on the bat and the wings on the cat.  Well that's it for today my next card I am working on I am coloring with my copics.  Thanks for stopping by.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Paper Playtime- use 3 different papers
Love to scrap- anything goes
613 avenue create- anything goes

Best of Halloween/Washi Tape

Well this month for our team challenge we were suppose to use washi tape on our card.  I had a hard time figuring out what to do with the washi tape.  I saw this sketch on the Freshly Made Sketch challenge and decided to use it to make my card.  I layered the washi tape on a piece of whisper white CS and cut into a flag shape.  The paper with the trees I stamped on whisper white with versa mark and embossed with clear embossing powder, I then sponged over that with smoky slate ink.  This is a pretty clean and simple card but I like how it turned out.  Sometimes its a challenge for me not to add a bunch of layers.    I am loving the little candy dots lately sometimes you just need a little something and they work perfect.  All items on this card are Stampin UP.

That's it for now.  Thank you for stopping by and have a great week.

Tilda Witch & pumpkins

Happy Labor Day!!!
I have been busy making some Halloween Cards.  This one is using a Magnolia Stamp called Tilda Witch & Pumpkins.  I believe she is from the 2011 collection called So Spooky.  I water colored her using distress inks and some water tank brushes.  I added some purple stickles to her dress and some silver sparkles to the buckle on her hat and buckles on her shoes.  The sentiment is from C.C. Designs called Witch-ful Thinking, it has lots of cute Halloween sayings.  The black and white DSP is from Stampin Up and the Purple piece is from Fancy Pants.
Here is a close-up of the colored image.  I hope you like it.  Have a great Labor Day and thanks for stopping by.

Garden Tilda

Happy Monday,  hope everyone is having a great start to their week.  Mine doesn't really start until tomorrow.  Today is our last day of summer break, it's back to school and work tomorrow.

This card is from a kit I got a while back from Heather Hobbie Haven.  It's been a while since I colored so I was so happy to get out my inks and water color this cute image.  This truly is my most favorite way to stamp.  I already put this card in the mail to my bestest friend for her birthday.

Here is a close-up of the image I colored.  I added a little dirt and grass to the ground, I love how it turned out.  I have a couple of Halloween cards I am coloring up now.  So hopefully they will be done soon so I can post them for you to see.

Cascading Butterflies

I've seen a lot of cards like this usually done with flowers and I had to give it a try.  I was inspired by my friend Holly and Brandy Cox to make this card. Thank you ladies for the sharing your cards.

I decided to use butterflies on mine.  I wanted to use wisteria wonder so I got out my color coach used the color combo from the wisteria wonder card.  Colors are Wisteria Wonder, Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, and Whisper White.  I used the butterfly from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set and punched it out with the Elegant butterfly punch and then layered it with the bitty butterfly punch. On the Sahara sand piece I cut the edge with the Adorning Accents Edgelits.  The Soft Sky piece is embossed with a retired EF.  I did not realize it was retired until I was typing this post, darn!  I added a piece of 3/4 chevron ribbon in wisteria wonder.  The sentiment is from the Label Love stamp set.

Team Challenge Card

I FREAKIN love you!!!!  I absolutely love this stamp set and I was so excited when we got it for free at convention.  Colors used on this card are Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, and Whisper White.  I embossed the daffodil delight with the heart adorning accents folder.  I stamped the Cherry cobbler piece with a heart stamp from the Make a Cake stamp set.

This card was for the team challenge at my uplines monthly meeting.  Love doing challenges all the cards are so different.
The heart charm I made using the simply pressed clay.  I colored it with cherry cobbler and daffodil delight ink pads using my aqua painter.  The ribbon is the new Chevron ribbon in chocolate chip.  I used a technique I learned at convention which is to punch a hole in the card stock and thread the ribbon thru the hole and around the CS and then back up thru the hole and tie.  Love this technique no glue need for the ribbon.

Pillow Gift #2

This is the other gift I made for my roommates at convention.  This is a notebook holder with a pocket on the inside.  I got this idea from Brandy Cox.  Colors used are Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, and whisper white.  I stamped the background with the swirly stamp from Everything Eleanor.  I used the largest framelit from the Circle collection to cut out the rich razzleberry and the next largest to cut out the whisper white circle.  The flower and the sentiment is from the Field Flowers.
On the inside there is a cute little pocket to put whatever you want in.  Well I hope you like it and Thank you for stopping by.  Feel free to leave a comment, I would love to hear what you think.

Pillow gift jars

Wow can you believe it is August already!  In just a few weeks we will be back to school which means I will be back to work, not sure I'm ready for that!  Yikes.

This is one of the pillow gifts I made for convention.  I used tiny mason jars for this and filled with skittles.  The Tiles are made with the new simply pressed clay.  I just rolled out the clay with my brayer and cut into squares.  I let them dry over night.  I then used my water tank brush and ink pads to color the tops of the tile.  When that dried I stamped a swirly image on the tiles in chocolate chip ink and then stamped a butterfly and a letter on the tiles in stazon ink.  Everybody got a Tile with a butterfly and a tile with there initial on their jar.  I coated the tops of every tile with crystal effects and let dry over night.  Oh yeah I pierced a hole in the tops of the tiles when I first cut them out.  I used one of the circle framelits to cut out paper for both sides of the lid.  The flower on top of the …

Simply Sent App

Happy Monday everyone!!

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post anything yesterday, we were busy visiting and have a great time with family.

This is something I created on the Simply sent App for the iphone.  It's probably like using MDS on the computer except there are not as many options on the App but its fun to play with.  This is a photo of Lynne and I on the bus on our way to tour Stampin Up's home office.  It was so much fun.  I am going to have to give MDS a try cause if this was fun I can only imagine all stuff I can do with MDS.
Here are some of the pictures from Cheyenne Frontier Days that I promised.  The first 2 are from the parade and the last one is from the Melodrama we went to.  We really had a lot of fun with the family this weekend, so sad to see everybody head home.

Thanks for stopping by.

Rev up the Fun

Saturday already!  Well we are off to the parade for Cheyenne Frontier Days.  We always have lots of fun during Cheyenne Frontier Days.

This card was one I made for a swap at our team meeting with my up line and fellow demonstrators.  I love doing swaps.  I love this stamp set (Rev up the Fun) it's perfect for boys from small to big.  I used a couple different embossing folders on this one.  I stamped the car in cherry cobbler on scrap paper and cut it out, and popped it up on dimensionals.  I love the way this turned out, maybe you could punch out a circle and write how old they are turning on it and glue over the 25. (16th birthday maybe)

Well that's it for today.  Come back tomorrow, I might have some picture from Frontier Days.

Serene Silhouette

T.G.I.F, and it is a good Friday.  This is the last of my swaps cards from Convention.  This one uses the bleach technique.  Colors used on this card are Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, and Crumb Cake.  I first stamped the tree with bleach on Cajun craze and then using my stamp-a-majig  to offset it a little I stamped over the bleach with early espresso.

This is a good masculine card and it can be done in many different color combos.  I have been using my color coach a lot lately, I love that tool.  Well that's it for today.  Stop by tomorrow for more.

Secret Garden

Wow Thursday already!  This is a card I was going to make for Convention but never got a round to making.  And this probably would have been the easiest of all of them to mass produce. lol.  Color used are Marina Mist, Real Red, and Whisper white, and I believe the stem of the flowers was Old Olive.

On the Whisper White CS I crumpled up a piece of tissue paper and glued it on the CS.  When it was dry I stamped the flowers and greeting on the tissue paper.  I tried stamping it on the tissue paper before I crumpled it but I wasn't patient enough to let it dry so when I crumpled it all the ink smeared everywhere.  Stamping it after you glue it on CS is easier anyways that way you know how much space you have.  The blue flower I stamped on a scrap piece of paper and water colored it with the marina mist ink pad and cut it out using the secret garden framelits.
I was playing with the Washi Tape I got at convention and thought it added a cute touch to this card.  This is from the C…
