Up all night

T.G.I.F.!!  Are you glad it's Friday, I sure am!
This is actually a birthday card I made for a friend of mine to give to her daughter.  Her daughter has been so busy running around like crazy I'm sure she feels like crashing at her desk, lol.  The inside of the cards says "Time to take a break and celebrate".  I'm always nervous when someone asks for a special card but I think it turned out good and she seemed to like it.  The image I used is called "Up all night" and it is a digital image from Redonkadoodles.  I colored her with my copic markers, below is a list of the markers used.
Skin: E21,E11,E00,E000,R11(cheeks), E04,E01(lips)

Strawberry Dreamer

Wow, it has been sooooo long since I posted on here.  I have been busy with back to work, and the kids are back to school and I have started college in the evenings.  So I am busy but I still need some down time so I will be coloring.  This is from a card kit I got from Heathers Hobbie Haven.  I knew I had to have this kit the minute I saw it.  Isn't she such a sweet image.  And I love the soft look of the paper that came with the kit.  I made this for a very good friend who has decided to retire.  I sure am going to miss seeing her everyday.  I colored this with my copic markers but I didn't get a chance to write down the colors I used.  I added some star dust stickles to the butterfly, flower centers, bows, and ruffle.  Every card needs a little bit of sparkle, right!

Cowgirl Flower

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.  This is a card I made using a Nellie Snellen stamp called "Cowgirl Flower."  This is one of my favorites.  I water colored her on Canson 140lb watercolor paper.  There's nothing more relaxing than water coloring.  The cowboy hat was just something I had in my stash of accessories.
Isn't she just the cutest little cowgirl you've ever seen!  Well that's it for today, I hope you get time to sit a color something.  Have a great day.

Lomasi (Pretty Flowers)

This sweet little Indian girl has been sitting on my desk for quite some time just begging to be colored.  Her name is Lomasi which means Pretty Flowers.  I colored her with my copic markers.  I just had to have some feathers to go with this card and I thought the metal flower with the paper flowers was a nice accent.

Broom Ride

I'm back with another Copic coloring.  This image is from C.C. design called "Broom Ride."  Isn't she just the cutest little witch you've ever seen.
I can't help but laugh at the look on her kitties face.  I didn't make notes on the colors I used for this card, sorry.  On the inside of the card it says "You say I'm a witch like its a bad thing", lol.  I added some stickles to her skirt.

That's it for today, thanks for stopping by.

Cutting the rug

This card is made using an image from Mo Manning called "cutting the rug."  I love how sweet this image is.  I colored it with my copic markers on Neenah solar white CS.  I added some stickles to her dress and some glitter pen to her hair, and some clear dew drops to the corners of the image.
copic used are:

I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

sweetbriar rose

Hello stampers,

This is a card I made the other day for a board at stampin' up's convention.  I used the sweetbriar rose stamp, which is a single stamp mounted on a wood block.  I colored this with blendabilities and cut it out using the square framelits.  The paper is called typeset and looks and feels like it came right out of a book.  The ribbon is the new 1/4" cotton ribbon in early espresso.
Here is a close up of the image.  I colored the flowers with the pumpkin pie blendabilities and the leafs with the old olive and a little bit of so saffron blendabilities.  I love this stamp, its prefect for coloring.

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by.

in-color challenge

This months challenge with my upline was to create a card using at least 2 of the new in-colors.  I chose to use hello honey and blackberry bliss. I started this card by coloring the sunflower from the bloom with hope stamp set with the blendabilities markers and cut it out.  I embossed a piece of hello honey with the fancy fan embossing folder and mounted it on a blackberry bliss card base.  I stamped the frame image from everything elanor stamp set ( I stamped off twice so that it wasn't to dark).  The My friend sentiment is from the and many more stamp set. For the leafs I used the wing from the bird builder punch in mossy meadow CS.  I spritzed them with water and crumpled them up, when dry I sprayed with vanilla shimmer smooch spritz.  To finish it off I added a piece of blackberry bliss ribbon.

Well I hope you like it.  I love how this card turned out.  Thank you for stopping by and feel free to leave a comment.  I would love to hear what you think.

strawberry card

I'm back with another strawberry but this time I made into a card.  On this one I used the second to largest heart die. (the largest one without the scallop edge)  I embossed it with the polka dot embossing folder and for the leafy part I used one of the floral framelit  dies.  This card is a little smaller than normal A2 cards but will fit good in a standard envelope or you can make your own envelope using the envelope punch board.  This is the perfect size for a quick thinking of you note.  This was so much fun to make something different.

I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

summer inchie

Once a quarter my uplines team participates in an inchie swap.  An inchie is a square that measures 1 3/4 x 1 3/4.  We make them that size so that the person receiving them can mount them on a piece of 2 x 2 CS in whatever color they want.  If you remember the spring one we did I mounted all of mine on black, it just looks a lot nicer with them all mounted on the same color.  This time the theme is summer and we were only allowed to use real red, daffodil delight, pacific point, old olive, and whisper white.  I used the smallest heart die in the hearts collections and embossed them with the polka dot embossing folder and one of the flowers from the boho blossoms punch to make strawberries.  I punched part of the 3/4" circle punch on a piece of scrap paper and used it for a mask and sponged it with daffodil delight ink for the sun.  So what do you think?  I can't wait to get all the different squares and make another frame.

Thanks for stopping by.

Work of Art-Rainbow

I just love it when you can take a stamp set and make so many different things with it.  After many days of rain and storms there was a beautiful bright rainbow, which is where I got the inspiration for this card.  I used the Work of Art stamp set and my stamp-a-ma-jig to make the rainbow.  Colors used are strawberry slush, so saffron, and pistachio pudding.  I stamped off with all of the colors .  I then sponged around the edges with soft sky.  The tree stamp is from the serene silhouette stamp set and is stamped in soft suede ink.  I used the new fringe scissors to make the grass and I used some of the new cotton ribbon, very nice ribbon to work with.

That's it for today.  I hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by:)

World of Dreams

Hello Stampers,
I hope everyone is having wonderful weather.  We have had a week full of T-storms, tornadoes (none that touched down), and Hail storms.  I am ready for a day with no storms.

These 2 cards were made when I was working on yesterdays card for the shoebox swap.  They are both stamped with Sahara Sand Ink with the dictionary stamp and world of dreams stamps.  On the first one I added a doily which I stamped on and inked around the edges and the crumpled up to give it an antique look.  On the second one I stamped the flower image in versa mark and embossed it with silver embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Shoe Box Swap

Hello Happy Stampers,

Last weekend we had a shoe box swap at my uplines house.  It was so much fun.  If you don't know what a shoe box swap is, you are missing out.  It where everyone designs a card and prepares all the stuff for everyone to make your card, and then we pass the boxes around and make all the cards.  So much fun, oh and we have plenty of food to snack on.  Yummy!
Well this is the card I designed for the ladies to make. I am really liking the mostly one layer collage look.  Colors used on this card are Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight, and Very Vanilla.  The ribbon is the new mossy meadow Stitched Stain ribbon, love this ribbon.  I stamped the dictionary background (page 175) stamp on Very Vanilla with Sahara Sand Ink.  I then stamped some of the images from World of Dreams (page 127) on top of that also with Sahara Sand Ink.  I colored the flower stamp with blackberry bliss and mossy meadow using my blender pen.
Well that's it for today.  I hope you like it.  Pl…

Love & Sympathy

For the summer my upline is having a sketch for us to do every other Monday.  This was the first sketch for the summer.  I used the stamp set called "Love & Sympathy" found on page 122.  I love this stamp set it is so simple yet looks so nice.  Colors used are Smoky Slate, Lost Lagoon, and Whisper White.  I colored some of the pearls with one of the old olive blendabilities.
This is the sketch we had to follow.  I hope you like and maybe you can give the sketch a try.  Feel free to leave a comment, I would love to hear what you think.

For Your Country

In honor of the 4th of July I thought I would make a military card.  This card uses the stamp set called "For Your Country" and can be found in the new SU catalog on page 153.  I colored the boots using some of the skin tone blendabilities.  This was very fun to color and worked up pretty fast.  For the background on the card I used the "gorgeous grunge" stamp set found on page 165.  Colors used are Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand, Mossy Meadow, and Whisper White.

Well I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

Bloom with Hope

This is the birthday card I made for a good friend and coworker, I also made this card for a swap with my uplines group.  I had so much fun making this card.  I colored the flower image with the new blendabilities.  These are not yet available to the public but you can preorder some when you sign up to be a demo.  If you are interested in joining my team click on the link at the top of my blog.  It is an awesome deal and you save on all your orders.  Colors used on this card are Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, Hello Honey, and Whisper White.  The DSP is called Lullaby.  The flower image is from the Bloom with Hope stamp set.

Well that's it for today, Thanks for stopping by:)

Clean and Simple

OMG, it's finally Summer break!  I have been waiting for this day for over 9 months, lol.  I am planning on focusing on my stamping business and blogging regularly this summer.

This is where I got my inspiration for my card.  I saw this photo on pinterest and my first thought was that would make a great card.

Colors used for this card are Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Strawberry Slush, and So Saffron.  And of course I am completely out of all 3 of those colors in paper.  I found 1 piece of so saffron with a circle cut out of the center but I made it work. I think I will be placing an order for paper very soon.  I used the Work of Art stamp set (page 165) to make the rainbow and the sentiment.  The flower is from a hostess set called Bloom with Hope.  This is a very simple easy to make card, sometimes those are the best.

Thanks for stopping by:)

SU Blendabilities Video
I made my very first video.  I absolutely love the new SU Blendabilities Markers.  I was pretty nervous making a video so its not the best but I hope you enjoy it anyways.
And this is the finished card with the image from the video.

For the Birds/Blendabilities

Happy Mothers Day!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day.  We had a snow storm her in Wyoming so we just spent the day inside.

I am so in love with the new stampin up blendabilities.  They are so much fun to color with.  For the tires and the ground I used my ink pads and a blender pen since I don't have those colors in the blendabilites yet.  I used the sketch atFab Fridayfor this card.  Colors used are Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, and whisper white.  The little flower is from the Boho Blossom punch and the little heart is from the Owl builder punch.  Did you notice the different color rhinestones.  I colored those with the blendabilities as well.

Well I hope everyone has a great week and stay warm if your in this neck of the woods.

Blended Bloom

Well I am so excited!!  Wanna know why?  Stampin Up has Alcohol!  Well, markers that is.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Blendabilities markers!

For this card I used the sketch at Try Stampin on Tuesday.  Everything on this card except the Sahara Sand CS is new.  The stamp set used are Blended Bloom and Work of Art.  I colored the Flower with the Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities Markers.  Colors used are Blackberry Bliss and Sahara Sand.  The DSP is from the Moonlight paper pack.  The Ribbon is the Blackberry Bliss satin ribbon.

Well that's it for today, Thanks for stopping by!

This is the Easter card I made for my kids this year.  This is so fun.  The chicks are made from the Circle punch, itty bitty flower punch, the scallop circle punch, and the owl punch.  I made the grass using the new fringe scissors.  The clouds are done using a template and sponging soft sky ink.

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Serene Silhouette - just because

I can't believe the weekend is over already.  It has been so nice here this weekend temps where in the 70's.  It was still a little breezy but spring is on its way, YAY!!!!!!!

For this card I used the sketch over atTry Stamping on Tuesday.  I love having a sketch to follow.  Well I spent some time cleaning out my stamp room and sorting out the stamps that will be retiring at the end of this month.  I am soooo glad the Serene Silhouette and Papillon  Potpourri stamp sets are not retiring.  Colors used on this card are Soft Sky, Basic Gray, and Whisper White.  I colored the flowered image with my markers and stamped on whisper white.  The butterfly is stamped with versa mark and embossed with white embossing powder on soft sky paper.  All the White paper has been sponged with soft sky ink.

Well that's it for today.  Have a great week!

Spot lighting

As I mentioned yesterday I recently went to the Stampin Up catalog premier and this is the card I made to swap with the other demonstrators.  I learned this technique from Brian King and I love it.  It is so easy to do and looks so nice.

Colors used on this card are Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, and Black Staz-on.

Happy Birthday

I was lucky enough to get to go to the Catalog Premier with Stampin Up last Monday.  It was so much fun and we got the new catalog and a new stamp set from the catalog.  I used that stamp set to make this card.  The stamp set is called Work of Art, LOVE it.

My daughters birthday is coming up next week so I thought I would use this new stamp set and some of her favorite colors to make her a card.  I tried to follow the sketch at Hand Stamped Sentiments but I forgot that the sentiment was suppose to go on the bottom.

Colors used on this card are Tempting Turquoise,  Wild Wasabi, Strawberry Slush, and Whisper White.

That's it for today, Thanks for stopping by.

Inchie Frame

Happy Monday Stampers!

As promised here is the finished product with the inchie swap I participated in.  I absolutely Love how this turned out.  The Frame actually measures about 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 but the opening is about 9 1/2 x 9 1/2.  I mounted all my squares on black CS that measures 2 x 2.  The background CS is pink pirouette.  I mounted the center piece at an angle just to mix it up a bit and so that I could see that beautiful butterfly tucked behind the rose.  This was so much fun, I can't wait to make more of these.  And I still have enough left over to do another frame.  I love doing swaps like this and seeing all the different stuff everyone comes up with.

This is what is being called an inchie.  I participated in a swap with my uplines team.  The square is 2"x2" when finished.  We actually made them 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 for the swap and then the person receiving them can mount them on a piece of 2 x 2 of whatever color they want.  Tomorrow I will show you what I did with some of them.  This is the one I made for the swap.  I punched out a circle on a piece of scratch paper using the 1" circle punch and put it on top of my whisper white CS.  I then used a sponge and so saffron ink to make the sun.  I then stamped the flower from springtime hello(found in the occasion mini) with black staz-on ink.  I sponged around the square with pool party.  The butterfly is punched out of pool party CS using the bitty butterfly punch which I added some rhinestones to.  Well that's it for today.  Have a great week.

Pleasant Poppies

It's been a while since I have used this stamp.  This is a large Background stamp but I like to just use part of it for a flower image.  I used another technique for water coloring with this one and it can be done on whisper white CS so you don't have to have water color paper.  I used my stampin write markers and an aqua painter.  Your brush needs to be damp but not soaked, if its to wet you wont get the shading effect.  I started by stamping the image with staz-on, I colored one flower at a time so that the ink doesn't dry.  I started by coloring the entire petal with melon mambo and then went over the spot I wanted to be a little darker with the cherry cobbler marker and then immediately blended with the aqua painter.

Well I hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by.

Watercolor-Vivid Vases

I hope everyone is enjoying their Monday, I know I am since it is spring break which means no work for me.  Yay! This is a card I designed a couple of weeks ago for a shoe box swap.  Colors used are Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke, Wisteria Wonder, and water color paper.  The background is embossed with the decorative dots embossing folder from the sale-a-bration catalog.  If you didn't get a chance to get this folder not to worry it will be available in the 2014-2015 catalog this summer.  I stamped the image on water color paper with black staz-on and colored it using an aqua painter and my ink pads.  I colored on of the vases in wisteria wonder on a piece of scrap paper and cut it out and popped it up.  I added a little dazzling diamonds to the purple vase and purple flowers.  The ribbon is crumb cake seam binding.  The image was cut out using one of the circle framelits.

Well that's it for today.  Now I'm off to make some cookies and then more stamping, so make sure to st…

Oh Happy Day

Happy Saturday!  Hope everyone is taking some time to stamp today.  This was a simple and quick card, but I think it is very nice for a boy's birthday.  Colors used for this card are Pacific Point, Summer starfruit, and whisper white.  For the background I stamped with the background stamp from the Open Sea stamp set in summer starfruit.  The Oh Happy Day comes from the Starburst saying in the occasions spring catalog.  I added a few candy dots to the bottom corner to finish it off.

Well that's it for this card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Good as Gold

Every month my upline has a challenge for us.  This time it was to make a full size card using the Good as Gold kit.  You can get the good as gold kit for free with a $50 purchase now thru March 31.

My card base is Bermuda Bay followed by a layer of basic black and crisp cantaloupe.   The DSP is the front of the card that comes in the kit.  I stamped the big flower from Peaceful Petals on vellum CS and embossed with gold embossing powder and colored the back of the flower with Bermuda bay.  I used the gold foil paper that comes in the kit and stamped the leaf image image with versa mark and embossed with the gold.  all the strings came with the kit also.  Great kit for free, can't beat that.

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by.

Love & Sympathy

My very best friend lost her mother this past weekend.  It was something we knew was coming we just didn't think it was going to happen so soon.

I used the sketch over atFab Friday for this card.  Colors used are Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Sahara Sand, and Cajun Craze. The stamp set is called Love & Sympathy.  I love this simple flower for sympathy cards.
Here is a view of the inside of the card.

Well that's it for today, I hope everyone is having a good Monday!  Thanks for stopping by.

Serene Silhouette

Wow I was doing so good posting in January and then I just got busy I guess.  Well I have been stamping so I do have things to post.

This is the card I made for my Husband for Valentines Day.  I stamped the image from serene silhouette on Basic Gray with staz-on and then stamped it again with versa mark and embossed it with cherry cobbler embossing powder.  I used the pretty prints embossing folder for the background but it was from the Holiday catalog which is no longer available.  I hope they bring this folder back because it is my favorite.

Well I hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Sketched

Happy Happy Monday!  I just Love school holidays.  I have a lot of birthdays this month so I am busy making birthday cards.  This one is done using the flower from the simply sketched set, it is a hostess set.  I absolutely love the new papers in the occasion catalog.  Colors used on this card are Basic Black, Gumball Green, and whisper white.  I embossed the flower with wild wasabi embossing powder.  I used some candy dots in black, I really love using the candy dots they add that little extra something.
On the inside I stamped the greeting from Bring on the Cake.  and I stamped the flower in Gumball green after I stamped off so I was just a little color.  Thanks for stopping by.

Flower Shop Birthday

I finally put my flower shop stamp set together.  I love that it has a punch that goes with it.  I used the color combo over atDynamic Duos for this card, they are Pink Pirouette and Pool Party.  I added some crumb cake as my neutral color.  I stamped the flower all over the pink pirouette paper with pink pirouette ink and stamped the happy birthday in pool party.  The 3 flowers on top were embossed, one with pool party embossing powder on whisper white CS and the other 2 with white embossing powder on pink pirouette CS.  I added a glimmer brad to the center of the flowers.  The pool party piece is embossed with the fancy fan embossing folder.  I'm thinking about spraying the card with some smooch spritz.
On the inside of the card I layered a piece of pink pirouette and whisper white CS.  I stamped the flower in the bottom corner 3 times without re-inking in pool party.  The sentiment on the inside and outside are from the Bring on the Cake stamp set.  Well I hope you like it.  …
