Inchie Frame

Happy Monday Stampers!

As promised here is the finished product with the inchie swap I participated in.  I absolutely Love how this turned out.  The Frame actually measures about 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 but the opening is about 9 1/2 x 9 1/2.  I mounted all my squares on black CS that measures 2 x 2.  The background CS is pink pirouette.  I mounted the center piece at an angle just to mix it up a bit and so that I could see that beautiful butterfly tucked behind the rose.  This was so much fun, I can't wait to make more of these.  And I still have enough left over to do another frame.  I love doing swaps like this and seeing all the different stuff everyone comes up with.

This is what is being called an inchie.  I participated in a swap with my uplines team.  The square is 2"x2" when finished.  We actually made them 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 for the swap and then the person receiving them can mount them on a piece of 2 x 2 of whatever color they want.  Tomorrow I will show you what I did with some of them.  This is the one I made for the swap.  I punched out a circle on a piece of scratch paper using the 1" circle punch and put it on top of my whisper white CS.  I then used a sponge and so saffron ink to make the sun.  I then stamped the flower from springtime hello(found in the occasion mini) with black staz-on ink.  I sponged around the square with pool party.  The butterfly is punched out of pool party CS using the bitty butterfly punch which I added some rhinestones to.  Well that's it for today.  Have a great week.

Pleasant Poppies

It's been a while since I have used this stamp.  This is a large Background stamp but I like to just use part of it for a flower image.  I used another technique for water coloring with this one and it can be done on whisper white CS so you don't have to have water color paper.  I used my stampin write markers and an aqua painter.  Your brush needs to be damp but not soaked, if its to wet you wont get the shading effect.  I started by stamping the image with staz-on, I colored one flower at a time so that the ink doesn't dry.  I started by coloring the entire petal with melon mambo and then went over the spot I wanted to be a little darker with the cherry cobbler marker and then immediately blended with the aqua painter.

Well I hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by.

Clean and Simple

Hello Stampers!

Today's card is a clean and simple card yet very striking.  It almost has a sunset effect to it.  I got my idea for this card from Brian King.  The colors used on this card are, Coastal Cabana, Basic Black, and Whisper White.  Stamp sets used are Springtime Hello found in the Occasions catalog and My Friend found in the annual catalog.

Well I hope you are having a great day.  Thanks for stopping by.
