Simply Sketched

Happy Happy Monday!  I just Love school holidays.  I have a lot of birthdays this month so I am busy making birthday cards.  This one is done using the flower from the simply sketched set, it is a hostess set.  I absolutely love the new papers in the occasion catalog.  Colors used on this card are Basic Black, Gumball Green, and whisper white.  I embossed the flower with wild wasabi embossing powder.  I used some candy dots in black, I really love using the candy dots they add that little extra something.
On the inside I stamped the greeting from Bring on the Cake.  and I stamped the flower in Gumball green after I stamped off so I was just a little color.  Thanks for stopping by.

Flower Shop Birthday

I finally put my flower shop stamp set together.  I love that it has a punch that goes with it.  I used the color combo over at Dynamic Duos for this card, they are Pink Pirouette and Pool Party.  I added some crumb cake as my neutral color.  I stamped the flower all over the pink pirouette paper with pink pirouette ink and stamped the happy birthday in pool party.  The 3 flowers on top were embossed, one with pool party embossing powder on whisper white CS and the other 2 with white embossing powder on pink pirouette CS.  I added a glimmer brad to the center of the flowers.  The pool party piece is embossed with the fancy fan embossing folder.  I'm thinking about spraying the card with some smooch spritz.
On the inside of the card I layered a piece of pink pirouette and whisper white CS.  I stamped the flower in the bottom corner 3 times without re-inking in pool party.  The sentiment on the inside and outside are from the Bring on the Cake stamp set.  Well I hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by.

Just Sayin' Hi

Well leave it to me to wait until a stamp set is sold out to decide to use it. But don't worry there are many other sets available in Photo Polymer. This set is called Designer Typeset and is one of the photo polymer sets.  I love how they stamp and the alphabet is wonderful in these.  For this card I used Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, and Very Vanilla CS.  The strip of DSP is from the Retro Fresh DSP in the new Celebrate Everyday catalog.

Watercolor Wonder

Hello, I'm so glad the weekend is here.  Well maybe not for everyone but it is for me, a 4 day weekend YAY!!!!!  I came home from work and went straight to my stamp room.  I didn't know what to make so I decided to play with the new watercolor wonder designer note cards, available in the Celebrate Everyday catalog page 22.  Not sure if the sun is setting or rising, lol.
It's just a one layer card with the exception of the sentiment and button.  This is very nice for a quick Hi, Just thinking about you today card.    Well back to my stamps for a bit and then dinner.  Thanks for stopping by:)

Paper Pumpkin Christmas

I know it a little late for Christmas cards but I just wanted to show a card I had made using one of the paper pumpkin sets.  I added a piece of champagne glimmer paper.  Quick and simple and you can make it your own by adding a few things.

I Dig You

This is another card I made using the sketch at The Friday Mashup.  This one is a Valentine Card for my son.  I got my color combo from the Color coach.  Colors used are Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, and Basic Gray(should have been smoky slate).  The image is from the Tag it set.  I stamped it on whisper white CS in Coastal Cabana and again in smoky slate on a scrap piece.  I cut out the blade part of the shovel and popped it up.  I used 3 different embossing folders on this one.  The DSP is the Natural Composition-specialty paper sponged with Calypso Coral.

Well that's about it for this one.  I hope everyone is having a good day.  Thanks for stopping by.

serene silhouette/ multi-colored embossing

Happy Hump-Day!  Half way thru the week, phew!

I LOVE this card.  Colors used on this are Melon Mambo, Basic Gray, and Basic Black.  I stamped the flower image from Serene Silhouettes on Basic Gray CS with Stazon and then stamped it again on top of the first image with versa mark.  If you remember my new years scrapbook page I embossed with several different colors of embossing powder.  Well, when they all got mixed up I didn't want to throw the left overs away so I mixed them up and put them in a jar.
This is what it looks like when you emboss with a multi-colored embossing powder.  I think it turned out pretty cool.  I tried it on white CS put it look much better on a darker color.  The embossing folder is called pretty print and is from the Holiday Catalog.  I'm not sure if the EF is still available or not (I hope it is).   The Ribbon is 1/4" stitched grosgrain ribbon in basic gray.

The Open Sea

Hello, I'm glad to see everyone made it thru Monday!

For todays card I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  Masculine cards are hard for me to make but look I have done them 2 days in a row.  I used The Open Sea stamp set for this one.  I really like how that boat looks.  Colors used are Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Pacific Point, and Very Vanilla.  The DSP is called Modern Medley which I tore to give it an aged look and ink all around with Sahara Sand ink.  It's kinda hard to see but I have a piece of Sahara Sand CS that I embossed with the square lattice embossing folder.  I stamped the boat in Pacific Point ink and cut out using the circle framelits.

I also stamped on the inside to match to front of the card.  Well I hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by.

Dynamic Duo/happy birthday

Happy Monday!!!!  Yikes its back to work today.  I really enjoyed my little vacation at home.

This card is made using the Dynamic Duo color challenge to use Summer starfruit and garden green.  This was a fun card.  I don't usually use these colors so it was nice to do something different.  Stamp sets used are Gorgeous Grunge, Label Something, and for the greeting on the inside I used create a cupcake.  I don't have the Chevron Border Punch so I used my Hexagon punch to make my arrows.  You can do so many different things with punches, not just the shape they were made for.

Well that's it for me today.  Thanks for stopping by.

Oh Baby!

Guess What?  We have a new baby in the family.  My husbands cousin just had her first baby.  I'm so happy for her. As you can probably tell by the card she had a little girl.

For this card I used the sketch over at the Friday Mashup.  Colors on this card are Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, and Crumb Cake.  I also used some Early Espresso Ink for the congratulations and the butterfly's antennas. I think the DSP I used is retired but it went perfect with this so I went ahead and used it.  I did the emboss resist technique with the butterfly's from the Papillion Potpourri set on Whisper White CS.  The Congratulations is from Sassy Salutations, I love that set.  The main butterfly is stamped in pool party and punched out using the butterfly punch and popped up on dimensionals.

On the inside of the card I stamped a greeting from Cuddles & Kisses and a little butterfly in the corner.

Thanks for stopping by:)

Love You

Happy Saturday!

Only 2 days left and then I have to go back to work :(.  This is a card I made for my daughter for valentines day.  Yes I am way ahead of schedule, which is very rare for me.  She love bright colors.  I'm thinking of redoing it with a bright green or blue as the main color since that is her favorite.  I got my idea for this card from something I saw on pinterest, although I did change it up a bit.  I didn't want the hearts to be plain but I don't have a heart stamp so I stamped them with a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set using my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the image.  Love the touch of the buttons.  I don't seem to use buttons very often but I love them on this card.  The background was kinda plain so I used another stamp from gorgeous grunge for that.  The Love You stamp is from the Seasonal Sayings stamp set.  Colors used for this card are Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, and Whisper White.  On the inside of the card I used the Happy Valentines stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Now I need to make my sons valentine card.  Boys are always so much harder when it come to Valentines Day, but I think I have a good idea of what I want to do.

New Year scrapbook pages

I wanted to make some pages for some photos I took on New Years eve and this is what  I came up with.  I used the My Friend stamp set for the ball and the light drops.  I embossed the balls with silver embossing powder except for the main one I embossed it with several different colors.  The champagne glasses are from the Happy Hour stamp set which I embossed in gold and cut out.  I cut the letters out using the typeset alphabet dies in champagne glitter paper.  I popped up the main ball and the champagne glasses.  Well I hope you like it.  That's it for today but I will be back tomorrow with more.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!!!  Another year come and gone.  I'm kind of glad 2013 is over, I am looking forward to a fresh start and accomplishing some of my goals.

In case I haven't mentioned it yet I Love my new stamping room.  I think I have made more cards in the last 2 days than I have in the last 2 months.   I am taking advantage of being on vacation and spending some time doing what I love.  Hopefully I can get some traffic on my blog if I can keep up with my postings.

This card is done using the champagne glasses from the Happy Hour stamp set.  I stamped them on some scratch whisper white CS and embossed with Gold embossing powder.  I cut them out and popped them up on the card.  I made the bubbles using a stamp from the create a cupcake stamp set, I think they are suppose to be sprinkles but they make perfect bubbles.  All of the stamping on this card was embossed with Gold, including the inside of the card and even to stamped by on the back.  CS used is basic black, whisper white, silver, and Gold foil.  I used a sketch from Try Stamping on Tuesday.  I didn't think I would need a Happy New Years card so I stamped Congratulations on the inside.  It will make a good wedding or anniversary card.
This is my Hazel Girl.  She loves my stamp room as well.  Although she thinks she should sit on my lap while I am stamping but she is getting a bit big for that so she settled for a spot in the sun.

Well I hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year.
