For All Things

A little over a week ago we had our "Fall Fest" event.  There were 3 of us that designed for this event.  There were 11 cards and 1 pillow box.  It was a blast.  This is one of the cards I designed for this event.  This is very simple card to make and it turned it very nice.

The DSP is called "Into the Woods"(139586) and is from the holiday catalog.  CS used is Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, and Whisper White.  The stamp set is "For All Things" (135152) in the annual catalog.  The "thanks" is a thinlit die called Greetings thinlits (138275) also in the annual catalog.  To finish it off I just wrap some linen thread (104199) around the stamped image a few times and tied and knot.  This would be a perfect Thanksgiving card or just a general Thank you card.

Fall Card

This is a card I made this week for a challenge that my upline was having to make a fall card or sympathy card.  This was a Thank you to some ladies I work with for a sympathy gift, so it almost fits in both categories.

The color on this photo did not show up very accurately.  I used basic black and Pear Pizzazz CS.  I cut out the Thanks using a die from the Greeting Thinlits (138275) on page 172 of the big catalog, I then used the negative space and layered a piece of Cajun Craze CS behind it.  I embossed the Pear Pizzazz with the softly falling EF (139672) from the holiday catalog.  The leafs are left overs from the witching decor project kit, but you could use the Leaflets Framelits (138283) and cut them out in whatever color you want.  The ribbon is the basic black 3/8" stitched satin ribbon.

Have a great weekend and don't forget to take some time to stamp.

Spider Wreath

Wouldn't you just love to have a cute spider wreath like this to hang on your door.  Well wait no more it is available while supplies last on the clearance rack. Click here to order.  It is on sale for a great price.  This wreath is so darn cute and it even comes with a spider you make out of beads.

Witching Decor Project Kit

I spent the day with my BFF yesterday and we made our Witches hats from the Witching Decor Project Kit.  This was so much fun and way cuter in person.  I have to say this is by far the best kit I have ordered from SU, and I am so sad to say that it is sold out.  I am so glad I order it when I did.  I can't wait to see what kind of kit they come up with next time.  This kit came with so many supplies I pretty sure I could make mini hat with whats left of the kit and some black paper.
This Lynne and I showing off our new hats, HA!

Bloom with Hope

Happy Monday!  (I can say that since I'm not at work today)  This is a card I made last night.  I wasn't even planning on stamping last night but I was cleaning my stamp room and I guess there just something about a clean stamp table that I can't stand so I had to get it messy. lol.  I started this card on a piece of whisper white CS (5 1/4 x 4) and stamped the background with the dictionary stamp in Sahara Sand.  I then stamped the large flower from the Bloom with Hope stamp set in versa mark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  I sponged pear pizzazz ink over the flowers and sponged Sahara Sand ink over the rest of the card and finished off by sponging early espresso ink around the edges.  I did the same thing with the strip across the front of the card.  The sentiment is from the sassy salutations stamp set.
Here is a view of the inside of the card. I hope you like what you see and have a fabulous Monday.  Thanks for stopping by:)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.  On this card I combined my two favorite ways to color, water color and blendabilities.  I did a wash of color on a piece of water color paper that measure 5" x 3 3/4".  I did this by squeezing my strawberry slush ink pad so that there was ink in the lid and took a very wet watercolor brush and washed the color all over the paper.  I dried the paper with my heat gun and then got the ink in the lid really wet and splashed the color onto the paper to create texture.  I again dried the paper with my heat gun.  When it was completely dry I stamped the flower image from the blended bloom stamp set with momento ink and colored with blendabilities.  The sentiment is from A dozen thoughts stamp set and heat embossed with black embossing powder.  This is layered on basic black CS and the card base is Strawberry Slush CS.  All items used on this card are from Stampin' Up!

Thanks for stopping by!

Girly Girl Thank You

Wow over 3 months since my last post.  I think that is the longest I have gone in between posts.  I have got to get better at this.  The truth is I have been very busy working full time and going to school at night so no promises. lol.

I am entering this in theFavorite Mo's Card for 2014 challenge.  Although I didn't post this until 2015 I did however started working on it in 2014.

This card is a 6 x 6 card.  The image is called "girly girl Candy" by Mo Manning.  I have water colored her with Tim Holtz distress inks.
This was the first time I have water colored a red-head.  Love how it turned out, I think this is my new favorite hair color.  I added some sparkle to her hair bows and her shoes with a clear wink of stella glitter brush pen.  I just love this image she is so cute and a so sassy at the same time.  The DSP I used on this card is from the lost and found heirloom paper pad by My Minds Eye.

Well I hope you liked the card today and I will try and post more o…
