Avant Garden

Hello stampers,

I'm back with some more coloring.  This is another card from my Challenge class last month.  I used the water color pencils on this card however I did not use any water.  I just simply used them like you would a colored pencil.  I love how this turned out.
Here is a close up of the flower....
I used the gray pencil and the white pencil on the flowers and a little bit of green on the stem.  This stamp set is called Avant Garden and can be yours for free with a $50 order before tax and shipping.  This offer is only good until March 31 and only while supplies last so don't wait if there is something you had your eyes on.  You can check out all of the free sets by clicking on the links for Sale-a-bration on the right hand side of my blog.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by

Love you Lots 2

I hope everyone has had a great start to their week, I have been busy but all has been good here.  As promised I am back with the last of the Valentines Day cards that I made this year.  This one was for my son.  While I know Valentines Day and Love are not something he likes to talk about with his mom I think he does enjoy getting cards.(secretly of course)

I used the same stamp set as I did with my daughters card.  I love the animals in this stamps set and I love even more that they can be colored.  This cute little frog was stamped on crumb cake CS with Staz-on ink and water colored using the watercolor pencils and an aqua painter.  The DSP is from the Cupcakes & carousels paper stack.  I chose this paper because it reminded me of the sunshine and it just seemed to fit with this froggy. I tried to make sure I wasn't making it to cute since it was for my son; keeping things simple can be challenging.

I also wanted to let you know that there are some new Sale-a-bration item…

Love you Lots

Happy Sunday,

I'm taking a break from school work.  I had to take a final today for a 5 week Finance class and I am happy to say I score a 98%, now I just have to do the essay part of the exam. I do love going to school but I think I might love stamping a wee bit more.  I thought I would take a break and atleast blog about some stamping.

This card is the card I made for my daughter for Valentines Day.  I had a lot of fun with this one.  I got to use the new water color pencils and she loves elephants so this was perfect for her.  I stamped the elephant from the Love you Lots stamp set (this is a hostess set) on shimmery white CS with Staz-on ink since I was going to be doing a litte water coloring.  If you haven't tried the water color pencils yet you are missing out.  I love these pencils and I have tried several different brands and these ones are AMAZING!

These are a new item and are very popular.  You can find them in the occasions catalog.  Item # 141709 $16.00  The DSP …

Elegant Valentine

Happy weekend!  My life has been so busy lately with work, school, and kids but I am still going to try and find time to stamp and blog.  I really want to get better at blogging this year.

I find it so hard to figure out what to talk about on my blog.  I don't want to just say here's a card I made and that's it, but not sure what I should be talking about.  Anyways this card is what  I made my hubby for valentines day.  It's a very simple card but has an elegant feel to it.  I used very vanilla CS and Red foil paper (which I believe is retired from the Christmas catalog).  I embossed the top layer of very vanilla with the new falling petals embossing folder and punched the heart using the sweetheart punch.  The sentiment is from Sealed with Love stamp set in the Occasions Catalog.  That's pretty much it for this card, very simple but elegant.

Thanks for stopping by.  I will be back soon with the cards I made for my kiddos for valentines.  Have a great weekend an…

Beautiful You

This is one of the cards I designed for our monthly Challenge class.  I have been dying to to use this stamp set and practice with the new water color pencils.  I absolutely love the water color pencils.  They are so easy to use and they blend like a dream.  I started by stamping the lady on shimmery white CS with staz-on black ink.  I colored her using the water color pencils and blended using both the aqua brush and the blender pen.  I used the aqua brush on the dress and the blender pen on the rest.  I like the aqua brush because I can create better highlight and shadows that I can with the blender pen.  I then stamped the ground using the sand from the lighthouse stamp set and Sahara sand ink.  I used a post-it note to create the moon and sponged the sky with soft sky and night of navy.

Take some time to stamp and have fun!
